The 2010 Ford Escape is a five-passenger mid-size SUV that is a carryover from 2009. The Escape is available as the XLS, XLT, or Limited. The base engine is a 2.5L four-cylinder that is paired with a five-speed manual transmission and produces 171 hp. A larger 3.0L V6 is available, and it produces 240 hp. A six-speed automatic transmission is also available. There is also a Hybrid powertrain available, paired with a CVT, which is able to achieve 31 mpg on the highway and 34 mpg around town. |
