The 2009 Ford Edge is a 4-door, 5-passenger crossover available that comes standard with FWD but is available with AWD. New for 2009 is the Ford Edge Sport model with 22-in wheels and an 8-piece body kit. All Ford Edge cars are powered by the Duratec 3.5L DOHC V6 engine which produces 265 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. This engine is connected to Ford's close-ratio 6-speed automatic transmission which delivers smooth and responsive performance. Fuel economy is EPA-estimated at 17 mpg city/24 mpg hwy for the front-wheel drive models and 15 mpg city/22 mpg hwy for the optional all-wheel drive models. 2009 Ford Edge standard features include front, side and side-curtain airbags, Securilock passive anti-theft system, remote keyless entry, AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control (RSC) and 4-wheel disc Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS). |
