With only minor changes 2009, the Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD is a heavy-duty one-ton pickup with a wide range of cab configurations to choose from, as well as WT, LT and LTZ trim levels. All trims feature a long cargo box, and a dual rear-wheel version is among the available configurations. Available as either two-wheel or four-wheel drive, the Silverado 3500HD is propelled by a 360-hp 6.0L V8 engine with 380 lb-ft of torque, paired to a six-speed automatic transmission, or a beefy 6.6L turbo-diesel Duramax V8 engine churning out 365 hp and 660 lb-ft, mated to an Allison six-speed automatic that is well-suited for towing and hauling large loads. Extra-strong and rugged, the Silverado 3500HD has a maximum towing capacity of 13,000 pounds. Standard safety features include antilock disc brakes, driver front airbag and passenger front airbags.
