With light changes for 2009, the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD is a heavy-duty three-quarter-ton pickup offered in a wide range of configurations, including regular cab, extended cab and crew cab trims, each of which is complemented by regular or long cargo bed lengths. All are available with two-wheel or four-wheel drive and, depending on the trim, can accommodate up to six passengers. With rear-wheel drive as standard, Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD standard features showcase a 6.0L gasoline-fueled V8 engine outputting 353 hp and 373 lb-ft of torque, paired to a six-speed automatic transmission, while a 6.6L turbo-diesel Duramax V8 engine that packs 365 hp and 660 lb-ft of torque, teamed with a six-speed automatic, is an option. When properly equipped, the 2500HD hauls up to 3,458 pounds and tows up to 13,000 pounds.
