After a complete redesign last year, the 2009 Cadillac CTS luxury sport sedan gets only minor upgrades. The five-passenger luxury sedan continues to win applause for its dramatic design, advanced technology and meticulous craftsmanship. Powered by either a 3.6L V6 engine generating 258 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque or a 3.6L direct-injection (DI) V6 engine pumping out 304 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, the CTS is available with all-wheel or rear-wheel drive. Standard on the base trim is a six-speed manual transmission, while a six-speed automatic transmission is optional. Inside its quiet, highly refined interior, numerous amenities are available, including a leather-wrapped steering wheel with integrated cruise and audio controls. EPA-estimated fuel economy is 18 mpg city/26 mpg hwy and 21 mpg in combined driving for the base engine and 17/26/20 mpg for the DI engine. Cadillac CTS standard safety features include antilock disc brakes, traction and stability control, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and GM's OnStar emergency communications system. |
