Although largely a carryover, the 2009 Buick LaCrosse midsize family sedan offers a variety of new refinements including heated outside rearview mirrors and Bluetooth connectivity. Powered by a base 3.8L V6 engine that produces 200 hp and 230 lb-ft of torque or a Super 5.3L V8 engine that pumps out 300 hp and 323 lb-ft of torque, the front-wheel drive Buick LaCross is equipped with a four-speed automatic transmission. Fuel-economy mileage ratings are 17 mpg city/28 mpg hwy and 21 mpg in combined driving, while the Super rates 16/24/19. Buick LaCrosse safety features include traction control, full-length side curtain airbags, OnStar communications and antilock disc brakes. A stability control system is standard on the Super trim and optional on the other two trims. Buick LaCrosse photos depict a roomy, well-equipped interior that can seat up to five or six passengers, and to transport larger items a split-folding rear seat is optional. |
