The 2009 BMW 5-Series is a 4-door, 5-passenger luxury car that is available as a midsize sedan or a wagon. The 2009 5 Series is a carryover from 2008. The base engine is a 3.0L inline 6-cylinder which produces 230 hp and achieves 18 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard while a 6-speed automatic transmission is optional. The other two engine options are a 3.5L twin-turbocharged inline 6-cylinder which makes 300 hp and a 4.8L V8 360 hp engine which burns 15 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway. All models come standard with all-wheel drive; however, the 528, 535 sedan and 535 Sport Wagon are available with all-wheel drive. 2009 BMW 5-Series standard features include leatherette upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control with active micro-filtration, an AM/FM/CD stereo with 10 speakers, 17-inch alloy wheels, six airbags and a rechargeable flashlight in the glovebox. |
