Optional Features

All 2014 Audi A8 models receive modified option packages this year, aligning the model with the automaker's existing Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige trim lines. The 2014 Audi A8 L TDI model's 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V-6 generates 240 horsepower and 406 lb.-ft. of torque. Audi claims that the car will accelerate to 60 mph in 6.4 seconds while returning 24 mpg in the city, 36 mpg on the highway, and 28 mpg in combined driving.

The A8 L TDI's standard Quattro all-wheel-drive system splits engine power 40% to the front wheels and 60% to the rear wheels under normal driving conditions, and can vary that split to a greater degree as the situation warrants.

Safety

Among the numerous safety features offered for the 2014 Audi A8, adaptive headlights are standard equipment. The vehicle is also offered with adaptive cruise control, Audi Lane Assist, Audi Side Assist, Audi Pre-Sense Plus, rearview and corner view camera systems, and a Night Vision Assistant with pedestrian detection.

Technology

In addition to the safety-related technology listed above, the Audi A8 is offered with a dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system.
