2013 Jaguar Model Overview


Jaguar introduces new powertrains for its 2013 XF and 2013 XJ sedans. The smaller displacement engines, in combination with a new 8-speed automatic transmission and automatic stop/start technology, are intended to improve fuel economy. A new all-wheel-drive system is also offered on these models when equipped with the new supercharged V-6 engine. The XF and XJ also receive infotainment system upgrades, as well as new Speed Packs that bump maximum velocity to 174 mph, according to Jaguar.

2013 Jaguar XF

The 2013 Jaguar XF is a midsize luxury sport sedan. This year, the standard engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that generates 240 horsepower--145 fewer than last year. The new engine is, however, expected to get 29 mpg on the highway. A new supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 also debuts, and can be paired with a new all-wheel-drive system. Jaguar continues to offer the XF Supercharged and XFR with a supercharged V-8 engine.

2013 Jaguar XJ

The 2013 Jaguar XJ is the company's flagship luxury sedan, offered with a choice of regular- or extended-length wheelbases. The standard engine is a new supercharged V-6 with automatic stop/start technology and improved fuel economy. All-wheel drive is optional with this engine, all XJ models get a new transmission, and Jaguar plans to ship no more than 30 units of the new XJ Ultimate to the United States.

2013 Jaguar XK

The Jaguar XK is a rear-wheel-drive, luxury sports coupe or convertible. Each offers aluminum construction, V-8 engines generating between 385 and 550 horsepower, and seating for 4 passengers in a 2+2 configuration. The limited-production XKR-S returns for 2013, with 200 units slated to come to the United States.
