2013 Buick Model Overview


The 2013 Buick model lineup sees significant change this year, with the introduction of the new Buick Encore compact crossover SUV, the debut of a new Buick Verano Turbo compact premium sport sedan, and the arrival of a significantly updated Buick Enclave full-size luxury crossover SUV. All five Buick models now come standard with IntelliLink technology, accessed through a new color touch-screen radio. New safety technologies are also added to the Encore, Enclave and Verano, while the Buick Regal is equipped with a standard eAssist mild hybrid powertrain for 2013.

2013 Buick Enclave

The Buick Enclave is a 3-row, 7-passenger, full-size luxury crossover SUV offering up to 115.2 cubic feet of cargo space with both rows of rear seats folded down. A 288-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine is standard, and can tow up to 4,500 pounds. The Enclave offers a choice between front- or all-wheel drive. New safety features are the most important upgrades to this SUV for 2013, followed by updated exterior and interior design.

2013 Buick Encore

The Buick Encore is a new compact crossover SUV, which is built in South Korea. It carries 5 passengers and offers a choice between front- and all-wheel drive. A turbocharged, 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine generates 140 horsepower, and a 6-speed automatic transmission is standard. The Encore is the first Buick to employ active noise cancellation technology, and it also features 10 standard air bags and standard 18-inch aluminum wheels. The Encore carries 18.8 cubic feet of cargo behind its rear seat, while offering up to 48.4 cubic feet of space with the rear seats folded.

2013 Buick LaCrosse

Rated a midsize sedan by the EPA, the Buick LaCrosse is positioned at the top of Buick's premium car range. The standard powertrain is an eAssist mild hybrid system. A 3.6-liter V-6 engine is optional. Both powertrains include an automatic transmission, and the LaCrosse is available with optional all-wheel drive. The trunk measures 11.4 cubic feet with eAssist, or 13.3 cubic feet with the V-6.

2013 Buick Regal

The Buick Regal is a 5-passenger midsize premium sedan featuring a standard 182-horsepower eAssist mild hybrid powertrain. Buyers can upgrade to a 220-horsepower Regal Turbo model or to a 270-horsepower Regal GS model. Only the Regal GS is available with a 6-speed manual transmission. The Regal's trunk measures 11.1 cubic feet with eAssist, or 14.2 cubic feet without eAssist.

2013 Buick Verano

A 5-passenger compact premium sedan, the Buick Verano shares a platform with the Chevrolet Cruze. It is available with a choice between a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine or a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, and buyers can select from several upgrade option packages. The Verano's trunk measures 14 cubic feet.
