Special features for 2014

Clean, attractive packaging makes the 2014 Taurus one of the most appealing big sedans on the market. With a roomy interior, a smooth ride and striking interior styling, the Taurus now offers a luxury-car feel at a family sedan price. The Taurus is packed with high-tech features, offering many that aren't available on any other non-luxury-brand sedans. What's more, the high-performance Taurus SHO makes a solidly performing and stylish alternative to sport sedans from Germany--at a fraction of the price.
Now available in two new exterior colors, the 2014 Ford Taurus is a full-size sedan offered with various engines: including a standard 3.5-liter V6 (288 hp/254 lb-ft of torque) and optional 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged (270 hp/270 lb-ft of torque). A 6-speed automatic transmission enables fuel mileage within an EPA estimated range of 17 mpg city to 29 mpg highway, depending on drivetrain selection (standard FWD or optional AWD). For increased performance Ford offers the SHO trim level, equipping the Taurus with a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces 365 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. Coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, fuel mileage falls within an EPA estimated 17 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. Features include 20-inch wheels, twin chrome exhaust tips, navigation system, push-button start, rear-view camera, and heated front seats. Safety is comprised of adaptive cruise control, collision warning with brake support, blind spot information system (BLIS) with cross traffic alert, front-impact airbags, side-impact airbags, overhead airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS), and stability control. The Taurus is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
