Kia Optima Hybrid Deals, Incentives and Rebates

A near-seamless transfer of the exterior and interior characteristics of the gasoline-only Optima sedan, the 2013 Kia Optima presents families greater saving on fuel costs. Slightly retuned for 2013, the gasoline/electric powertrain of the Kia Optima Hybrid consists of a 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine combined with a 47-horsepower electric motor. Featuring less combined horsepower than the 2012 model year version at 199, the 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid presents 235 pounds-feet of torque. Maximum fuel economy for the 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid is 36 miles per gallon in the city and 40 miles per gallon for highway driving. When applying the power to the front-wheel drive system, a six-speed automatic transmission smoothly handles the transfer of energy. The 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid has been expanded to two trim levels with an LX and EX model. The 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid LX comes standard equipped with an array of convenience features including rear view camera, Bluetooth connectivity with steering wheel mounted buttons and dual-zone automatic temperature control. Presenting a decisively more luxurious equipment package, the 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid EX variant provides leather seating, eight-speaker Infinity surround sound system as well as heated front and rear seating. Traction control, Hill Start Assist Control and four-wheel anti-lock braking system is standard on the 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid

This year, the Optima gets only a few minor styling changes, including a revised Kia badge for the hood, trunk, and steering wheel and a new Remington Red hue that replaces Spicy Red. A new front-seat sliding-headrest design is standard on all three Optima models. An SX Limited model is new to the lineup, adding a premium sporty look, along with additional upgrades, to the top-of-the-line SX. Also, Kia has dropped the mid-range EX Turbo model for 2013, and dropped the manual-transmission version of the Optima entirely.

Compared to other mid-size sedans, the Kia Optima continues to stand out for several reasons. Showcasing Kia's more Euro-influenced design direction, the Optima has styling that's more exciting than that of other mid-size sedans, especially from the outside. And that design works out to be quite roomy on the inside. It's also one of the most fuel-efficient mid-size sedans, and it offers quite sporty performance considering its mileage numbers. The turbocharged engine in the SX in particular provides the power and acceleration of a V6 but the gas mileage of a four. The Optima is also a very strong value, with a few more features at each trim level than what's found in most comparable models. Kia's strong 10-year warranty on powertrain components remains another strong selling point.
