Largely unchanged for 2013, the Jeep Patriot is a compact crossover available in FWD or 4WD drivetrains. The Patriot can be equipped with two different engines; a standard 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 158 hp/141 lb-ft of torque and an optional 2.4-liter 4-cylinder that produces 172 hp and 165 lb-ft of torque. Transmission options consist of a 5-speed manual and a CVT, enabling fuel mileage within an EPA estimated range of 20 mpg city to 29 mpg highway. Off-road driving is capable due to skid plates and 4WD lock. Features include 17-inch wheels, halogen headlamps, heated seats, leather trim, touchscreen navigation, liftgate speakers, premium sound, and fold-flat seating. Safety is advanced airbags, comprised of electronic stability control (ESC), electronic roll mitigation, anti-lock braking (ABS), emergency braking assist (BA), traction control (TCS), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), and tire pressure monitoring (TPMS).
