Beyond physical characteristics, the 2012 GMC Sierra 3500HD trim level range features Work Truck, SLE, SLT and Denali models of the full-sized pickup truck. Utilizing a 6-speed automatic transmission, two engines are available on the 2012 GMC Sierra 3500HD. Standard power for the one-ton pickup truck is delivered by a 6-liter V-8 engine producing 360 horsepower. The Sierra got a refresh in 2011, so not much changes for this year. A new Texas Edition package and a Premium package become available, both including 20-inch forged aluminum wheels, heated power-adjustable mirrors, heavy-duty trailering, a locking differential and dual-zone climate control. Denali models get standard heated and cooled front seats and heated steering wheel and a rearview camera standard.
