All new this year, the Puebla, Mexico built 2011 Volkswagen Jetta grows 3.5 inches and sports a sharp new look. Inside, the 4-door, 5-passenger Jetta gains an Audi inspired interior and offers 2.9 more inches of rear leg room. What hasn't changed is the sporty European ride and handling. Offered in S trim level, the Jetta is powered by a 2.0-liter 115-hp I4, SE and SEL trims are available with an optional 2.5-liter 170-hp I5 and a torquey 2.0-liter 140-hp turbo diesel I4 is available on TDI trims. A sporty GLI trim level will be available after launch. A 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic help Jetta achieve up to 30/42 mpg city/hwy with the turbo diesel. Notable features include front, side and curtain airbags, satellite radio, NAV, Bluetooth, 16-inch alloy wheels and leather seats. Competitors include Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Suzuki Kizashi.
