Special features for 2009

The 2009 Land Rover's flagship Range Rover has few peers and stands as one of the most luxurious and off-road-capable sport utility vehicles at any price. A proven platform, powerful engine choices, and well-equipped interior combine to form one of the most attractive true trail warriors available.
2009 brings upgraded leather trim, door seals for a quieter ride, and new paint choices to the Land Rover Range Rover luxury SUV. Powered by Jaguar-sourced V8 engines, the Range Rover offers a choice of a normally aspirated 305-hp 4.4L V8 engine with 325 lb-ft of torque or the supercharged 4.2L version of that engine packing 400 hp with 420 lb-ft of torque; both engines come mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. EPA-rated fuel economy for the Range Rover is 12 mph city/18 mpg hwy. Land Rover Range Rover standard features ensure this five-passenger SUV is one of the most luxurious on the road, sporting firm leather seats, walnut inlays and a navigation system with both on- and off-road mapping. Also athletic, the four-wheel-drive Range Rover can tow 5,000 pounds, when properly equipped. Among the standard safety equipment are an anti-lock disc brake system and a full complement of airbags, including driver front, passenger front, side-body front, side-head front and side-head rear.
