The 2009 Ram Truck Dakota is a mid-size pickup truck that is available in 2-door or 4-door crew cab trims. New for 2009 is the deletion of the SLT, Sport and TRX 4x2 trims. The new Big Horn/Lone Star trim replaces the SXT. Crate 'n Go storage is now a standard feature. A 4.7L V8 is now available on the Big Horn/Lone Star trim and the ST now has a tilt steering wheel as a standard feature. The base engine on the Ram Truck Dakota is a 3.7L V6 producing 215 hp and 235 lb-ft of torque. The standard transmission is a 4-speed automatic.
