The 2008 Mercedes-Benz line-up greatly reinforces its premium performance prowess. The C-Class sedan line is all-new for 2008. A flex-fuel compatible C300 as well as a new C63 AMG model propelled by a 451-horsepower, 6.2-liter V-8. Another addition to Mercedes-Benz performance for 2008 is the 604-horsepower version of the S-Class sedan called the S65 AMG. Changes to the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren line-up consist of a new roadster body style. The CLK350 includes a standard sport suspension and 18-inch wheels. With the high-powered CLK63 AMG model, the coupe is offered in a Black Series model featuring a dark appearance, deleted rear seat and a 500-horsepower engine. A GL550 model is new to the Mercedes-Benz premium crossover line-up powered by a 382-horsepower engine complemented by addition exterior and interior refinements. The R-Class line has received a performance cut in 2008 losing the R500 and R63 AMG version. The 2008 Mercedes-Benz R350 does gain a rear-wheel drive option as an entry-level choice.
