2008 model year changes

A newly available navigation system, designed by LG, is the big news for the 2008 Hyundai Veracruz, which was introduced last model year. Additionally, a long list of equipment previously optional on the Veracruz Limited--including adjustable pedals, memory settings, a proximity key fob, rain sensing wipers, lighted scuff plates, and an AC power outlet--are now standard on the uplevel trim. The mid-range SE model also adds a power tailgate and an AC outlet as standard equipment.

Special features for 2008

The 2008 Hyundai Veracruz is a mid-size crossover sport-utility vehicle that competes with the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander, yet offers more standard luxury features for a similar price and a nicely styled interior for seven. It also stands out for its smooth ride and sharp, carlike handling. Hyundai also says that the Veracruz's fuel economy estimates are higher than those of the Honda Pilot, at up to 16 city, 23 highway for the front-wheel drive model.
The 2008 Hyundai Veracruz is the brand's largest and most luxurious crossover utility vehicle. Introduced last year, the Veracruz treats 7-passengers with high quality features competitive with the up market Lexus RX 350. GLS, SE, and Limited trim levels are all powered by a 3.8-liter 260 hp V-6 borrowed from the Azera. Configured in FWD or AWD, the Veracruz delivers up to 16/23 mpg city/hwy with help from a 6-speed automatic with shiftronic. All trims have standard front, side, and curtain airbags, 5-star crash ratings, and a 10-year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. Options include power seats & mirrors, pedal adjustments with memory, NAV, power tilt/telescoping wheel, power lift gate, and many more. The Veracruz represents a low cost alternative to much higher priced luxury utility vehicles combined with Hyundai's fast growing reputation for quality.
