2007 model year changes

As with the light-duty Chevrolet Silverado Classic 1500 models, the outgoing version of the HD (heavy-duty) Silverado continues for one more year. For 2007, the only notable change is that recovery hooks are now standard on all HD models.

Special features for 2007

The Heavy Duty versions of the 2007 Chevy "Classic" Silverado, which has been GM's best-selling vehicle, are offered at a substantial savings versus the redesigned versions to be phased in through the year. This makes the Classics a strong value if you don't mind this proven, albeit slightly more conservative, design.
A carry-over from 2006, the 2007 Silverado 3500 offers up to six-passenger seating in WT, LS, LT1, LT2 and LT3 trim and option levels. The standard engine is the 6.0Liter V8 that produces 300HP and 360LB-FT of torque. There is also a 6.6Liter V8 turbo-charged Duramax diesel engine with an Allison six-speed automatic transmission offered as an option on all models.
