Offered as a two-door and four-door hatchback, the 2006 Volkswagen Rabbit is powered by a five-cylinder engine. Launched during the middle of the 2005 model year, the 2006 Volkswagen Jetta sedan enters its first full year in the United States marketplace by offering the high-end GLI trim level. Powered by a 200-horsepower engine, the 2006 Jetta GLI includes HID xenon headlights and a sport suspension system. The Volkswagen New Beetle boasts increased standard engine power from a 150-horsepower and a styling update for 2006 that retains most of its retro-themed presentation. After a brief departure in 2005, the V10 TDI version of the Volkswagen Touareg returns to the United States thanks to new emission-management equipment.
