For 2003, Acura's six-vehicle line-up continues to promote modern luxury and performance. The powertrain of the Acura MDX has been strengthened for 2003 in the form of a 265-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 engine and a new five-speed automatic gearbox. The new engine and transmission are also supported by the use of drive-by-wire throttle control. The Acura CL receives a redesigned grille, new headlights and updated taillights for 2003. Providing an additional sport attitude to their personal luxury coupe, Acura's CL Type S is offered with a manual transmission for 2003. A short-shift, close-ratio six-speed manual transmission, self-adjusting clutch and a limited-slip differential are included on the Type S model of the 2003 Acura CL. A new exterior color called Redondo Red Pearl is now offered on the TL and RSX for 2003.
