A third product adds some depth to the Kia vehicle selection in the United States for 2000. Styled as a hatchback sedan, the all-new Spectra is powered by a 125-horsepower engine and available as a GS and GSX trim level. Based on the Kia Sephia subcompact sedan, the 2000 Spectra's main advantage is greater cargo room. Along with the new vehicle, Kia has also strengthened their existing Sephia in 2000. Power steering as well as an upgraded stereo system with a cassette player is now standard equipment on the base 2000 Kia Sephia. On the 2000 Kia Sportage, a keyless entry system became a new option.
