Created under Cobra Industries, the Sierra brand fifth wheel and travel trailers were designed for family vacationing. First sold during the 1987 model year, Sierra by Cobra trailers were available in lengths from 21 to 39 feet. All Sierra by Cobra products were well equipped as self-contained trailers for longer stays at the campground. Cobra Industries closure in 1996 saw the transfer of the Sierra brand to Forest River Incorporated. Similar vacation trailers would be constructed under Sierra by Forest River starting in 1997.
