Founded in 1945 by Elmer Weaver, the Yellowstone Coach Company initially produced small travel trailers for the growing mobile vacation vehicle market. By the 1960s, Yellowstone transitioned to the construction of truck camper and would eventually add park models, fifth wheel trailers as well as motorhomes. Leaving the park model market after 1985, Yellowstone pushed deeper into Class A and Class C motorhomes in later years. Production of Yellowstone recreational products ended in 1990 after 45 years in the vacation vehicle business.
