Providing a healthy dose of comfort in addition to utility, the 2014 Ski-Doo Expedition SE brings considerable flexibility and value to on-trail snowmobile riders. Operating on an aluminum frame, the Expedition SE is situated on an impressive suspension system. Dual a-arms at the front and a SC-5U suspension unit on the rear are accompanied by rear-mounted air springs with five pre-load adjustments available. Engine choices for the 2014 Ski-Doo Expedition SE are based on the election of two-stroke or four-stroke power. A Rotax E-TEC 600 H.O. powerplant incorporating electronic direct injection and 3-D R.A.V.E. engine technology offers up to 108 horsepower. Equipped with electronic fuel injection and a dry sump oiling system, the Rotax 4-TEC 1200 three-cylinder engine generates 130 horsepower. The four-stroke powerplant also features the advantage of running on regular unleaded gasoline. Both engines deliver power to the snow-covered ground through a 154-inch long track with a 1.25-inch track profile height.
