A model catering to a wide variety of riders, the 2014 Ducati Multistrada features a high-performance engine as well as a riding characteristic suited for almost any road. Built on a Trellis steel frame, with a magnesium front subframe, the 2014 Ducati Multistrada is standard equipped with Brembo disc brakes with a Bosch anti-lock braking system. Available in four trim levels, all 2014 Ducati Multistrada models are powered by an electronically fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, 1198 cc engine. With maximum performance set at 150 horsepower, the 2014 Ducati Multistrada motorcycle offers the rider selectable engine mapping settings providing reduced horsepower for better fuel management. The base 2014 Ducati Multistrada 1200 rides on a fully adjustable 50-millimeter Marzocchi front fork suspension and 10-spoke light-alloy wheels derived from the 1199 Panigale. On the 1200 S Granturismo, 1200 S Pikes Peak and 1200 S Touring version of the 2014 Ducati Multistrada, a skyhook suspension system is included. Incorporating electronically controlled Sachs shocks, the Ducati Skyhook Suspension system on the 2014 Multistrada 1200 S models actively reconfigures damping for effortlessly improved riding. The 2014 Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Granturismo is fitted with a standard top case while the Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak is sport themed weighs just 427 pounds.
