2013 Triumph Tiger Price Details and Specs



Introduced in 2011, the 2013 Triumph Tiger is marketed as a motorcycle suited for start and dirt trail riding. Constructed on a tubular steel trellis frame, the 2013 Triumph Tiger can handle the rigors of rougher travel. In addition to the 2013 Triumph Tiger 800 and 800XC, the Tiger line-up has recently received the Explorer line. On the 2013 Triumph Tiger 800 and 800XC models, a Showa suspension system consisting of 43-millimeter front upside down forks and a rear monoshock provides long wheel travel for best handling ruts and potholes. Twin-disc front brakes and a single brake disc at the rear of the 2013 Triumph Tiger 800 and 800XC both feature a Nissin floating caliper. A three-cylinder 800 cc engine powers the 2013 Triumph Tiger 800 and 800XC with the support of electronic fuel injection. The 2013 Triumph Tiger Explorer models are powered by a 1,215 cc engine generating 135 horsepower and 89 foot-pounds of torque. As well as including an upgraded braking system the 2013 Triumph Tiger Explorer models add a more capable KYB suspension system. XC variants of the 2013 Triumph Tiger 800 and the Tiger Explorer add a built-in rear cargo rack and superior suspension travel. A high capacity electrical generator is standard on the 2013 Triumph Tiger is power output ranging from 645-watts to 950-watts depending on the trim level.
