Available as a cruiser or touring style motorcycle, the 2012 Yamaha Road Star captures the spirit of classic open road travel. Powered by a big bore V-twin engine, the 1,670 cc powerplant is electronically fuel injected for consistent performance. The two-cylinder powerplant of the 2012 Yamaha Road Star is mated to a wide-ratio, five-speed transmission for potent highway motion. Fuel economy for the 2012 Yamaha Road Star is recorded at 36 miles per gallon. Available in the color Raven, the 2012 Yamaha Road Star S is created as a cruiser model. The 2012 Yamaha Road Star Silverado S is the touring-oriented version. A handlebar mounted windscreen, rear passenger backrest and side bags are added to the 2012 Yamaha Road Star Silverado S for greater enjoyment over longer trips. Both variants of the 2012 Yamaha Road Star feature a suspension consisting of a 43-millimeter front fork and a single shock absorber at the rear.
