Featuring a four-wheel double A-arm suspension, the 2012 Polaris Sportsman® XP machine possesses an impressively tough design. Living up to the appearance, capabilities of the 2012 Polaris Sportsman® XP is high. Powered by an 850 cc two-cylinder engine, this is the sole powerplant offered on the 2012 Polaris Sportsman® XP. This engine presents a higher amount of torque production when compared to the previous powerplant. The liquid-cooled powerplant included on the 2012 Polaris Sportsman® XP 850 HO utilizes the responsiveness of electronic fuel injection for delivering momentum through the four-wheel drive system. The rider-selectable On-Demand True AWD/2WD system equipped on the 2012 Polaris Sportsman® XP 850 HO is supported by an engine braking system and Active Descent Control. With front and rear cargo racks, the 2012 Polaris Sportsman® XP 850 HO can carry a maximum payload of 460 pounds. When pulling a load on the standard trailer hitch, the 2012 Polaris Sportsman® XP 850 HO can tow up to 1,500 pounds of weight. Cast aluminum wheels and full disc braking is included standard on the 2012 Polaris Sportsman® XP 850 HO.
