A broad assortment of utility vehicles, the 2012 Kawasaki Mule™ is available in a variety of trim levels. Designed primarily for worksites and commercial use, the 2012 Kawasaki Mule™ also provides a lot to recreational interests. An entry-level 4x2 vehicle, the 2012 Kawasaki Mule™ 600 model features four-wheel drum brakes and is propelled by a single-cylinder 401 cc engine. Offering selectable four-wheel drive, riders can advance to the 2012 Kawasaki Mule™ 610 4x4 offering 400 pounds of box payload capacity and 1,100 pounds of towing ability. Listed as a XC model, the 2012 Kawasaki Mule™ 610 includes a heavy dose of off-roading capacity. Fitted with a larger 617 cc engine featuring digital fuel injection, the two-wheel drive 2012 Kawasaki Mule™ 4000 is a more serious performer. The four-wheel drive 2012 Kawasaki Mule™ 4010 4x4 is fitted with either the 617 cc gasoline engine or a 953 cc diesel powerplant. For four-passenger commuting on a worksite or farm, the 2012 Kawasaki Mule™ 4010 Trans4x4 models shares the option of gasoline or diesel power. When the rear seat is not in use on the 2012 Kawasaki Mule™ 4010 Trans4x4, the back bench seat can be folded down for longer load holding. The entire line-up of 2012 Kawasaki Mule™ utility vehicles have engine power connected to a continuously variable transmission.
