The 2012 Ducati Monster introduces users to a variety of performance riding experiences. Consisting of four models in 2012, the Ducati Monster enlists the same cast-aluminum/tubular steel trellis frame throughout the line-up. Featured as a low-cost option, the 2012 Ducati Monster 696 has undergone some interesting changes. As well as adjustable brake levers, a new exhaust and some weight savings, the 2012 Ducati Monster 696 is less expensive price than the previous model year. An electronically fuel-injected two-cylinder, 696 cc powerplant connected to a six-speed gearbox powers the 2012 Monster 696. Equipped with full disc braking, the option of an anti-lock braking system is offered on the 2012 Ducati Monster. Propelled by a larger, more powerful 803 cc engine, the 2012 Ducati Monster 796 is also a little taller than the Monster 696. Replacing two models of the Monster motorcycle line, the all-new 2012 Ducati Monster 1100 EVO receives the most aggressive performance character. The 1078 cc engine of the 2012 Ducati 1100 EVO is rated at 100 horsepower and 76 foot-pounds of torque. Providing a unique twist, the 2012 Ducati Monster Diesel model is also available to riders.
