Ideal for large work projects or small hobby off-roading, the 2012 Arctic Cat Prowler line is an entirely four-wheel drive group of utility vehicles. Riding on a fully independent suspension layout consisting of double A-arms, 10 inches of wheel travel is permitted for the all-terrain tires. A driver-selectable four-wheel drive system on the 2012 Arctic Cat Prowler also includes a front locking differential. Hydraulic disc braking is included standard on all 2012 Arctic Cat Prowler utility vehicles. Featuring a bed capacity of 600 pounds, the 2012 Arctic Cat Prowler 550i H1 EFI XT features a lockable storage area and three-point seat belts for the occupants. For greater performance and standard power steering, a 695 cc displacement engine is offered on the 2012 Arctic Cat Prowler 700i H1 EFI HDX and XTX models of the utility vehicle. The 2012 Arctic Cat Prowler 700i H1 EFI HDX is specifically meant as use for utility duties. Fox Float coil-over shocks and a cargo bed weight capacity of up to 1,000 pounds are uniquely found on the HDX model of the 2012 Arctic Cat Prowler 700i H1 EFI XTX. At the top-end of the 2012 Arctic Cat Prowler line-up, the 1000i H2 EFI XTZ is propelled by a two-cylinder 951 cc powerplant. On all models of the 2012 Arctic Cat Prowler is mated with a Duramatic continuously variable transmission for effortless power transfer from the engine to the four-wheel drive system.
