An entry-level machine for older teenagers or adult riders, the 2012 Arctic Cat 300 delivers a healthy dose of off-roading fun for an affordable price. Based on a two-wheel drive chassis riding on a front double A-arm suspension and a rear swing arm, the 2012 Arctic Cat 300 includes the reliable stopping power of full disc braking. The 2012 Arctic Cat 300 is propelled by a liquid-cooled, 270 cc single overhead cam engine. The powerplant paired with an automatic continuously variable transmission providing a forward, reverse and neutral shift selection. Two versions of the Arctic Cat 300 are offered for the 2012 model year. Featuring a Red exterior, the 2012 Arctic Cat 300 2x4 model’s front and rear steel cargo racks can hold a combined 150 pounds. Offered in an Orange, the 2012 Arctic Cat 300 DVX is themed for sport-related recreation. Suspension travel on the 300 DVX model is more adventurous recorded at 6.1 inches on the front wheels and 6.5 inches for the rear.
