NADAguides' Most In Demand Yet Hardest to Find Vehicles Report

  • NADAguides, the leading online provider of vehicle pricing and information, announces its Most In Demand Vehicles Report –  a list of new cars with high sales numbers, high consumer demand but limited availability on dealer lots and provides consumers with alternative, yet similar models with greater availability.
  • To determine the Most In Demand vehicles, the analysts at NADAguides first compiled a list of the 25 most in demand vehicles currently on the market based on overall industry sales during the month of April 2011 as well as consumer interest on NADAguides.com.   Then, taking into account current days-supply* of vehicle inventory, the analysts at NADAguides narrowed the report to those vehicles that had less than 30 days-supply of inventory availability as of the end of April 2011.  *Day supply product availability is referenced in "days-supply" numbers.  Day supply refers to the number of units currently in inventory divided by the average number of unit sales of that vehicle per month.  The result is the estimated number of days of supply of that particular vehicle.
  • Making up the latest Most In Demand Vehicles list are six new cars  – the 2011 Ford Explorer, 2011 Honda Civic, 2011 Hyundai Elantra, 2011 Hyundai Sonata, 2011 Kia Sorento, and the 2011 Toyota Prius.
  • NADAguides analysts have also provided a list of similarly priced, alternative models that offer comparative features, amenities and fuel efficiency to these high-demand vehicles that offer increased inventory availability – the 2011 GMC Acadia, 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer, 2011 Suzuki SX4, 2011 Nissan Altima, 2011 Mazda CX-7, and the 2011 Honda CR-Z.
  • Car shoppers can utilize the NADAguides Compare Cars tool to see a side-by-side comparison of these vehicles, and up to four total vehicles, in order to evaluate details such as pricing, warranty, MPG, engine specifications, drive train, safety and more.
