The 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback Ralliart.

There are certain things in life that take the two parts from separate worlds and turn them into one purposeful object. One item that springs to mind is the oft-overlooked spork. A spork, for the culinary elite who are reading this, is the unholy union of a spoon and a fork. It might not sound like a good idea, but it allows you to scoop and stab without switching utensils. An engineer at Mitsubishi must use a spork during lunchtime and I believe it helped lead them to create the 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback Ralliart, a car which combines sports car fun with wagon usefulness. Godzilla and STILLEN have invaded Canada… (photo courtesy of Kyle Millen)

Try to imagine race cars, new and old, roaring through your local suburban community. The glowing brakes and roaring engines a few feet away from you as the drivers wrestle their purpose-built machines down Main St. Now imagine piloting one of these rumbling rockets through side streets, past the local store fronts, and occasionally over someone’s lawn. You have just pictured the 7th Annual Targa Newfoundland.

This year marks the first year that Steve Millen, good friend to NADAguides.com, and his crew at STILLEN attempted to not only compete, but to win the event. The STILLEN folks teamed up with Mike Monticello from Road & Track who served as Co-Driver for the targa - their chariot of choice; a modified 2009 Nissan GT-R. How did they do? Well, either you skipped the headline or want me to say it again. More...

Road Test Review: 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX STI

Posted by Jeff Glucker on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 11:42 AM

2009 Subaru Impreza WRX STI
The 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX STI with Subaru Performance Tuning (SPT) goodies is enjoying the sun at the NADAguides.com office.

Subaru has a long history of building quality sedans and wagons that come standard with a good all-wheel drive system and a reliable engine. The average Subaru today is a very useful and safe vehicle that can provide driver and passengers with the occasional thrill thanks to the all-weather handling capabilities and fun turbocharged motors. There is a car in this family that takes this “fun” to another level. The 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX STI is not simply a fun car, it is a rally-racing bred, all-terrain conquering, lunatic car that smashes through the “fun zone” taking its occupants straight to 11. Road Test Review: 2009 Lincoln MKS

Posted by Jeff Glucker on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 7:50 AM
2009 Lincoln MKS
Aggressively stylish - The 2009 Lincoln MKS has a very modern look with a subtle retro-feel.

This car is big. I knew it was going to be big, but this car looks big. The 2009 Lincoln MKS is here at the NADAguides.com office and it is currently eyeing an employee’s Cadillac CTS-V as if it were a MINI Cooper. Once inside however, the car performs some modern magic and drives much more like the LS than the Town Car. More...

Road Test Review: 2009 Audi TTS

Posted by Jeff Glucker on Thursday, August 20, 2009 3:51 PM

2009 Audi TTS
Despite the name Solar Orange, the paint scheme on this 2009 Audi TTS is far from eye-searing.

A sports car should be both exciting to look at and exciting behind the wheel. The 2009 Nissan 370Z has a polarizing “love-it or hate-it” style and is a blast to drive. The 2009 Aston Martin Vantage is truly a looker even when standing still but it is truly a joy to run through the gears. The 2009 Audi TTS is in my possession for the week and has so far fulfilled one half of my simplified equation; it looks great from all angles - even when wearing bright (very bright) Solar Orange paint but is it fun to drive?
