“Top down, chrome spinnin’…” or in this case, it would be the 19” lightweight alloy wheels wrapped in high-performance Bridgestone Potenza tires; 245 in the front and large 275s strapped to the back. The song continues that “you see the boss grinnin’…” and I am doing more than grinnin’. I am behind the wheel of the 2010 Nissan 370Z Roadster - smilin’ because this is one convertible sports car that gets it all just right. More...

Somewhere between the world of the Gumball Rally and Cars & Coffee lies the event known as the Targa Trophy. It is a one-day rally event that starts and ends in the same place. This event features luxury brand sponsors, luxury brand cars, and luxury brand people. I was invited to compete in this event and I would be doing so with two friends; Tim Odell, an aspiring auto-journalist and Jonny Lieberman, a professional auto-journalist. The parking lot was already filled with oodles of supercar steel, aluminum and carbon fiber ranging from various Audi and BMW products to a Lamborghini Murcielago. Locating our ride for the event was easy; it's the 2010 Hyundai Genesis coupe - a seemingly meager entry wearing a badge unfamiliar to most in this set. More...

AutoTrader Find of the Week: 1983 Land Rover One Ten

Posted by Jeff Glucker on Friday, October 09, 2009 11:04 AM

AutoTrader Find of the Week: 1983 Land Rover One Ten

A rugged and polarizing iconic SUV, the classically styled Land Rovers of years past show case a tough exterior design contrasting a civil interior fit for the Queen. The Defender series is the best representation of this style and was brought into the United States starting in 1993. The rest of the world was able to enjoy this vehicle when it was introduced back in 1983, ten years prior. At that time, the vehicles were not called Defenders but they were simply referred to by their wheelbase length. One lucky Floridian managed to import and register a 1983 Land Rover One Ten, and is now offering this extremely clean example for sale. More...

Try to imagine race cars, new and old, roaring through your local suburban community. The glowing brakes and roaring engines a few feet away from you as the drivers wrestle their purpose-built machines down Main St. Now imagine piloting one of these rumbling rockets through side streets, past the local store fronts, and occasionally over someone’s lawn. You have just pictured the 7th Annual Targa Newfoundland.

This year marks the first year that Steve Millen, good friend to NADAguides.com, and his crew at STILLEN attempted to not only compete, but to win the event. The STILLEN folks teamed up with Mike Monticello from Road & Track who served as Co-Driver for the targa - their chariot of choice; a modified 2009 Nissan GT-R. How did they do? Well, either you skipped the headline or want me to say it again. More...

Road Test Review: 2009 BMW M3 Sedan

2009 BMW M3 Sedan
Is that bulge in your hood from a 414 hp V8 or am I just happy to see you?

Is there such a thing as having your automotive cake and being able to drive it too? If you drive any one of the handful of available sport sedans, then it’s possible to get a slice. Sliding behind the wheel of the 2009 BMW M3 Sedan however, I received a face full of Funfetti cake and pressing the gas pedal further only spreads the frosting wider across my smeared, “why-so-serious” gaping maw.
