Land Rover, the iconic manufacturer of true sport utility vehicles, just celebrated its 60th anniversary at the 2008 Concours d'Elegance in Pebble Beach. To mark the occasion, Land Rover showcased their Portraits of Adventure photography exhibit, which is a historical display of Land Rover over the past 60 years. In addition to this, Land Rover also offered a preview of their 2009 model year lineup, including the LRX concept vehicle.

"Land Rover's 60th Celebration demonstrates the rich heritage and prestige of the brand. Land Rover offered those in attendance the chance to experience the off-road capabilities of the vehicles as driving instructors led them over various boulders and inclines.
Land Rover makes a truly great vehicle for a clientele that, more often than not, will never fully experience what their vehicle can do. I highly recommend to any Land Rover owners reading this that you take your 2008 Range Rover Sport out into the dirt this weekend. Your Land Rover will reward your pleasure senses in your brain for letting it run free for a little while, and you can always have it cleaned and waxed in time for your dinner reservations at Spago later that evening.
