If only they made such concise diagrams for where my hamburger meat comes from...

@Mad_Sciene: Go read Fast Food Nation ... then you will never want to see such a diagram.

Okay, the rules were clarified on 7/28, I made a deal and was supposed to pick up my car today, but the government announced yesterday that it was suspending the program and my dealer is now afraid to complete the deal because he doesn't think he will be reimbursed. But I just heard White House spokesperson Robert Gibbs on CNN say that "If you were planning on buying a car this weekend and using this program, this program continues to run. And if you meet the requirements for the program, the certificates will be honored." What is the real situation?

@Amazed: great question; right now they are discussing the issue to allocate more funds for C4C. I have heard numbers ranging from 1B up to 2B to be allocated for this program.

It should be resolved by the end of the day because they (the reps) go on vacation in August.

Stay tuned and I will post a follow up comment when I hear more.

UPDATE: 1 min left on the House vote and it looks like it is going to easily pass. 2B in extra funds allocated.
