The Audi A4 Challenge … Zee Germans are invading your iPhone.
Audi of America has released the first ever iPhone application from an auto manufacturer. It is called the "Audi A4 Test Drive Challenge," a driving game that takes advantage of the accelerometer within the iPhone. The game features the 2009 Audi A4, which is available in showrooms starting this month; the Audi A4 Test Drive game is already available for free from iTunes.

"Audi customers are smart, sophisticated, and technologically savvy. As a brand, we are committed to progress and innovation at every turn. We’re very excited to be the first automotive manufacturer to connect with our audience though the iPhone."
The iPhone app also points the user to a specially designed web site that allows one to learn more about the 2009 Audi A4, as well as customize the car's color and locate a dealer.
Audi enthusiasts are one-upping the BMW M3 crowd, who can only stand to the side and angrily shake their Bluetooth headsets in disgust.
Hopefully, this leads to other auto makers utilizing new methods to reach their audience, although I hope HUMMER doesn't try to make an app where you constantly hunt for a gas station to keep your H2 moving.
