A luxury sports sedan is a wonderful thing. A comfortable and well-equipped interior paired with an engine that has a little oomph behind it, and you can enjoy the fun with up to four other people. There are quite a few choices in this category; the Audi S6, BMW M5, and Mercedes E63 AMG spring to my mind right away. They are all German and they are all excellent. Any automaker who wants to prove its vehicle's performance takes the car to Germany's famed Nürburgring track, and Cadillac is no exception. It took its limited-edition 2009 Cadillac CTS-V to the challenging car racing circuit for testing and found that the sporty sedan did more that prove itself—it will be the world's fastest production sedan on the market when it arrives later this year.

The 2009 Cadillac CTS-V features a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces a whopping 556 horsepower at 6,100 rpm and 551 lb-ft of torque at 3,800 rpm. The result is a 0-60 mph time of 3.9 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 12 seconds at 118 mph, according to Cadillac's internal testing. More...
