The Chevrolet Stingray concept car - A vision of the future Corvette?
Auto show season is officially upon us and to kick things off the NADAguides.com team traveled to the 2009 Orange County Auto show. Most of the automakers save their big product reveals for a little later in the year at shows like the LA, Chicago, Detroit, and New York event. This year however the Anaheim convention center is filled with some great concepts and a few surprises.
This year the 2009 OC Auto Show has several great concept vehicles on hand. GM brought the Chevrolet Stingray and the Cadillac Converj. Ford has shown up with their stylish Lincoln C concept car, and Hyundai has brought the very cool Nuvis concept vehicle.
The 2010 Ford F-150 Raptor SVT is an exciting new vehicle for Ford to add to their already great lineup of trucks.
Aside from concepts, a few manufacturers have rolled out some upcoming production vehicles onto the convention floor. Ford is showing off two cool trucks with the tough 2011 Ford Super Duty and the exciting 2010 F-150 Raptor SVT. They also brought their Fiesta, a new compact hatchback which is a huge hit in Europe already. Several of Ford's Fiesta Movement members are on hand at the show to provide more information on the cars and to give show goers a chance to jump behind the wheel and experience this great little car first hand. Another small car making headlines is the Kia Forte Koup; a sporty compact two-door that shows off stylish lines, features a well-equipped and comfortable interior, and boasts impressive fuel-economy and a class-leading warranty.
The totally redesigned 2010 Toyota 4Runner rotates amongst the new vehicles on display.
The OC Auto Show isn’t just new cars and concepts however; the convention floor also has a section for the tuner enthusiasts. Companies such as DUB the RPM Lounge showoff high-end exotics that have been tweaked for more power, style, and an all-around package that lets their vehicles stand out in a crowd. Toyota and Ford are providing vehicles for attendees to actually get behind the wheel of and go for a spin. If you wanted to take a break from all the exciting vehicles on hand, you can watch an MMA fight, meet a professional poker player, see a concert, or watch a Miss Hawaiian Tropics model search contest. However, the cars, trucks, and SUVs are the stars of this auto show regardless of what is going on around them.

This Lamborghini Murcielago gets the full DUB treatment…
