Pininfarina is at it again ...

LED Headlights Are New for the 2009 Maserati
Maserati has released a few photos of their newest iteration of their flagship sedan, the Quattroporte. They refer to the car as a "second masterpiece" ... wow, those are good words. I would have just gone with "cool" or "awesome" or something else along the lines of a slack-jawed guffaw. Whatever reaction it may draw from you, I think we can agree that the Quattroporte is a fantastic-looking car.

The Quattroporte's Stylish Stance is Long and Low
The newest Quattroporte will be available in two versions: the Quattroporte, which will retain the current 4.2-liter V8 and the Quattroporte S, which will adopt the new 4.7-liter, 425 hp V8 as fitted to the GranTurismo S. Both cars will have the same six-speed automatic transmission.
On the exterior, Maserati has taken cues from the GranTurismo's front fascia, incorporating into the Quattroporte vertical slats running through the grill, which gives the front end a striking and regal look.

If Neptune Has to Make a Starbucks Run, the Maserati Would Be His Car
On the interior, the Quattroporte now has an all new entertainment and navigation system which is designed for easier use by both the driver and passenger. This is a good feature for those long road trips when you and your co-pilot keep fighting between Hair Nation and Shade 45 on satellite radio.
The new Quattroporte and Quattroporte S will be presented to potential customers (read: people with more money than most of us) beginning this month. Maserati expects those lucky enough to have the means to start taking delivery sometime this fall.
