The all-new Infiniti G37 Convertible will make Nissan 350Z owners feel insecure.
Infiniti is making some changes to its extremely popular G-series lineup. First and foremost is the introduction of a convertible, which is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2009. This new model will utilize a three-piece folding hardtop, as well as enhanced audio and HVAC systems to ensure a great experience regardless of the position of the roof.
"A little success makes you want to try harder. A lot of success makes you want to blow the doors off the competition again, which we're poised to do with the new, intensified Infiniti G lineup for 2009," said Ben Poore, Infiniti's vice president of marketing.
Further changes for 2009 include a new 328-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine for the G37 sedan, an all-wheel drive model for the G37 coupe (the G37x), and a new 7-speed automatic transmission for all G models, as compared to the 5-speed automatic offered on the 2008 Infiniti G Models. The 6-speed manual transmission is still available, but for you lazy folks out there, the 7-speed will make sure you don't spill your Starbucks while stuck in traffic.
