Road Test Reviews: 2008 Infiniti G37 Sport – Part 2

2008 Infiniti G37S
The 2008 Infiniti G37 Sport giving me a chance to catch the setting sun ... and my breath.

It feels good to walk to the parking lot and see the Blue Slate 2008 Infiniti G37 Sport waiting for me.  I slide into the leather driver's seat and push the START button. The engine awakens and the Infiniti exhaust note is like an old friend ready to greet me after a long day at work. This Infiniti G37S is eager to please, so I pull up the brake, push down the clutch, move the shift left to first gear, and ... burn my hand on the incredibly hot piece of aluminum trim that has been warming up in the Southern California sun.

Flesh wounds aside, the 2008 Infiniti G37 is ready to run and I am eager to oblige ...

When the 2008 Infiniti G37 Sport gives me a command, I can only submit to its whim ...

This is the perfect car for the person who enjoys a hint of luxury and the ability to push their car hard when they want to … yet don't have kids, as the back seat is mostly for aesthetic purposes only.

The 2008 Infiniti G37 Sport does not come cheap (the car I am driving goes for $40,015 as equipped), but for 330 hp and a 0-60 time in under 6 seconds, you would be hard pressed to find a car as capable as this, not to mention as refined on the interior.

Like those crazy parties your swinger friends throw, leather and aluminum are everywhere inside the 2008 Infiniti G37 Sport.

Looks pretty nice! Is there a cheaper model that provides the same horses, without the upgrades?

Jeff Glucker 9/10/2008 3:01 PM

@Graeme:

Yes there is... The base model starts at $34,900 and all trims share the same 3.7-liter V6 that makes 330hp.

The one I tested is at the top of the ladder for the G37 coupes.

Hi, my online name is "banya." I have 2002 Nissan Elgrand (mini-van) and I love it very much. I would like to talk with car enthusiasts all over the world.
I'd like to link to the blog.

Dear Boss: I need to leave work early today so I can get some more photos of the beautiful Infiniti at the beach. Yeah, that's it--I need photos of the car at the beach! See you tomorrow--I'm [I mean the car is] going to the beach!
;)
