NADAguides Frequently Asked Questions

What does NADA stand for?
NADA stands for "National Automobile Dealers Association".
How can I obtain a used dealer license?
Every state has their own requirements which may be the same in other states or they can possibly vary as well from state to state. Take a look at your State Government Web Site to find the proper authority. You could also Google Independent Auto Dealer Association for your state. There is also a National Association for Independent Dealers and they could possibly give you some contact information. Most states require a bond, a place of business and address, some posted hours of operation, and staffing during those hours, and sufficient working capital. The states we are most familiar with send an inspector to visit after you have applied for your license.
