Boats

When looking up the value of my boat, is the outboard motor included in the value?
First, check to see if your boat includes the outboard motor by clicking on the brand and/or model note under the manufacturer heading. This will determine whether the value of the outboard motor is included. If the value is not included, simply click on the tab for "Outboard Motors". Then select the manufacturer of the outboard motor, the year and the model you are searching. Add the value of the outboard motor to the value of the boat to find your total value. When looking up the value of my boat, is the trailer included in the value?
First, check to see if your boat includes the trailer by clicking on the brand and/or model note under the manufacturer heading. This will determine whether the value of the trailer is included. If the value is not included, simply click on the tab for "Boat Trailers". Then select the year and the length of the trailer. You will also need to select whether the trailer is a Single, Tandem or Tri-Axle. Add the value of the trailer to the value of the boat to find your total value. When selecting optional equipment for my boat during the pricing/valuation process, do I select standard equipment as well?
No. You only need to select the options/features of your boat on the Optional Equipment page that did not come standard on your boat (unless otherwise noted) and that were added after the purchase. Standard equipment is specific to your model/trim level and NADAguides will automatically factor this into the price of your boat on the price report page. It is important to note that standard and optional equipment may vary between manufacturers. Engines and trailers may or may not be included in the boat you are pricing so read the notes that accompany the boat you are valuing. Visit the Boat Center for all your boat needs.
When obtaining a value for my boat, how do I adjust for hours?
NADAguides does not offer an individual adjustment for engine hours. Engine hours would be considered one of the factors in determining the condition of the engine. When appraising a boat, you must take into consideration the overall condition of the unit including interior, exterior, mechanical conditions, fresh or salt water usage, and hour meter readings.
