In 2004, the much anticipated 2.0-liter engine was unveiledfor the Passat Sedan, complementing new wheels and side mirrors. In 2005, thepopular W8 model would be discontinued. For 2006, a brand new model was unveiledoffering more room, more features and more available options. An updated cruisecontrol system and new auxiliary jack for the stereo marked the major changesfor 2006.
Model years 2007-2009 saw no major changes, with updates being madeto optional add-ons and various trim levels. A new steering wheel was added in2010, alongside standard Bluetooth connectivity.
A mid-size sedan with seating for five, the 2008 Volkswagen Passat Sedan is revamped its trim levels to Turbo, Komfort, Lux and VR6, all of which now come standard with a 12-way adjustable power drivers seat.
