In 1998, the Frontier pickup truck by Nissan rolled into car dealerships. It would go on to become an iconic and best-selling model. Two different King Cab options were added in 1999, alongside a more powerful V6 engine. 11 new models were introduced in 2000, with varying options and features for buyers to choose form. A laundry list of updates graced 2001, with options for bigger wheels, a more spacious and updated interior, and a lot more.
A redesigned instrument panel and a new Frontier Crew Cab Long trim were added in 2002. The popular "Open Sky" top option was offered in 2003, with an all-new air-bag option and an optional tire pressure monitoring system and stability control feature. All King Cab models got ABS as a standard feature alongside of the new Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) system. 2004 would see only subtle changes. But in 2005, Nissan unveiled a roomier, faster and more luxurious, all-new model.
