Released by Lexus in 2007, the LS 460 was a brand new addition to the luxury nameplates lineup. It replaced the aging LS 430 fleet, offering more power, more options and an array of desirable new luxury features. The carmaker also issued an extended wheelbase version as well as a hybrid model. The base model was powered by a capable 4.6-liter V8 engine that delivered 380 horsepower. The 2008 model saw a new air suspension system, larger 19 wheels (for the extended wheelbase models) and a few minor tweaks made to the options. For 2009, all-wheel-drive and seat memory were included as standard features. The 2010 model featured a revamped interior and exterior styling, integrated Bluetooth/iPod, the addition of the Safety Connect system, and various changes made to packages and trim levels. While no changes were made to the 2011 and 2012 models, the 2013 LS 460 featured a brand new body style. The car rolled into 2014 relatively unchanged, with Lexus adding iPhone integration and making subtle interior changes.
